Statistics: Russia’s inflation slows down to 0.1% in Apr 25–Tue
MOSCOW, May 4 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation slowed down to 0.1% from April 25 through Tuesday from 0.2% in the previous week and reached 1.4% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
Prices for beef, pork, margarine, milk, and bread rose 0.2–0.3%.
Egg prices fell 2.5%; chicken meat, sunflower oil, buckwheat, sugar and chocolate sweets prices decreased 0.2–1%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables rose 2.3% on average, including prices for cabbage which rose 13.5%, for onions 8.8%, for potatoes 7.5%, and for carrots 5.8%. But cucumbers became 4.6% cheaper in the period.
Gasoline price grew 0.2% and diesel fuel prices remained flat.
